News Release: Starting January 2, 2013, Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) will begin accepting applications for a new Federal Skilled Trade program (FSTP).
Candidates applying under the program will be required to (all of the following):
> Have received an offer of employment in Canada or a certificate of qualification from a Canadian province or territory.
> Have met basic language requirements.
> Have obtained at least two years work experience in a skilled tradespersons.
> Have skills and experience that match those outlined in the National Occupational Classification (NOC system).
In order to ensure faster processing times, CIC will accept a maximum of 3000 applications in the program's first year.
Eligible occupations will include electricians, welders, heavy-duty equipment mechanics, and pipefitters, among others. 

২ জানুয়ারী ২০১৩ থেকে কার্যকর হওয়া নতুন নিয়মে আবেদনের প্রচন্ড Competition এড়াতে এক্ষুনি আপনার সমস্ত ডকুমেন্ট, IELTS, FUND ও আনুষাঙ্গিক কাগজপত্র তৈরি করে রাখুন এবং আমাদের সাথে যোগাযোগ করুন। একটি সামান্য ভূল আপনার নিশ্চিত ভিসা হওয়া ফাইলকে Reject/ Refund করে দিতে পারে।

মনে রাখবেনঃ ইচ্ছে করলে ইমিগ্রেশণের এই পুরো প্রক্রিয়াটা আপনি নিজে নিজেই করতে পারেন এবং যাবতীয় সরকারী ফি নিজ হাতে জমা দিতে পারেন। তারপর শুধু Visa Accept হওয়ার জন্য অপেক্ষা করুন।

১৭ আগস্ট ২০১২ কানাডা সরকার পয়েন্ট সিস্টেম এ পরিবর্তন আনার জন্য FSW Immigration Program এর পাশাপাশি Federal Skilled Trade Program (FSTP) আনার ঘোষণা দিয়েছিল। ১০ ডিসেম্বর ২০১২ কানাডা সরকার নতুন Federal Skilled Trade Program (FSTP) ঘোষণা করেছে।

১০ ডিসেম্বর ২০১২ তে কানাডা সরকার নতুন Federal Skilled Trade Program (FSTP) এর জন্য যে ৪ টি যোগ্যতা কে আবশ্যিক ঘোষণা করেছে, তা হলঃ

১। কানাডা থেকে সরকারী/ বেসরকারি যে কোনো ধরনের প্রতিষ্ঠান থেকে চাকুরীর অফার থাকতে হবে অথবা কানাডা'র যে কোনো রাজ্য থেকে চাকুরীর নিশ্চয়তা (ভিসা পাওয়ার পরে) থাকতে হবে।

২। খুব সামান্য হলেও ইংরেজী জানতে হবে।

৩। যে ধরনের চাকুরী'র অফার লেটার পাচ্ছেন; ঐ ধরনের চাকুরিতে ২ বছরের পূর্ণ অভিজ্ঞতা থাকতে হবে।

৪। দেশে যেখানে চাকুরির অভিজ্ঞতা আছে, সেই প্রতিষ্ঠান থেকে দক্ষতা'র সনদপত্র (সার্টিফিকেট) থাকতে হবে।
